aisa abhi bhi hotha hai . . .

this was in mandawa,a district in rajasthan, india.

the place is actually popular for its havelis and the fresco work on them.

in one of the streets this traditional way of churning oil intrigued me.

amidst all the rapid transitions that india witnessed its mind boggling to see something like this seamlessly juxtaposed.

railway crossings - my fasination around them doesnt seem to change.

what better could i have asked for when i could capture these raw elements in their own space and time - my all time fancy - in the absolute picturesque environs of ungutooru, [native of my in-laws] a village in west godavari district, andhra pradesh.
this crossing is close to ungutooru, in nachukuntha.
wonder if these are just the elements of symbolic importance or have they in the process become anything larger than that? or is all of this just the way i feel around them?
the imagery also seems to be so meaningful because i get to pause - i guess. a pause that is enforced - not intended - and because of which i could always be a part of the drama that unfolds around these spaces - and that's why - may be -these elements are so vividly a part of me that they seem to have a meaning beyond and in itself.
it could be just about the timelessness around these elements and everything around them that is so unique them - lifes almost like slow motion.
oh! well . . . whatever it could be - i just figured out that i really love these spaces and feel that my fasination around them just doesnt seem to end.

where am i ? . . .

this space is so new to me. i am having all my apprhensions - wondering if i need this ? is this even me ? i dont know . . . i am here - compleletly by myself though.

have a feeling that this could be an interesting medium - and i guess am also warming up .

so here i am and lets see how i am going to enjoy this journey.
